TRANSMEDIA RESEARCH GROUP
The transmedia research group is composed of university professors and researchers in the areas of sociology of cultural and communicative processes and of cinema, photography and television. Interdisciplinary researches focuses on transmedia studies and analysis of productive models, modes of use, and transmedia communication practices. Among the research lines investigated: the production evolution, from the cultural industry to the transmedia ecosystem; transmedia reasearch, new crossdisciplinary and multidisciplinary theoretical approaches to transmedia studies; transmedia design; participative and collaborative dynamics in transmedia co-creation.
The group operates in the fields of research, education, organization of cultural events and scientific dissemination. Among the recent activities: – Editing of EmergingSeries Journal # 5 “Theories and Practices of Transmedia Experiences” and EmergingSeries Journal # 6 “Profession: Transmedia” – Participation at the Scientific Committee of the “Transmedia” Editorial Series by Armando Editore – Organization of the “Transmedia producer” training course at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” – Participation in the organization of “In.Di.Days (INdustry – INnovation – INteractive – DIgital)” with Film Comission Torino Piemonte, with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo and with the support of FIP (Film Investimenti Piemonte), Labmedia and Top-IX – Participation in the organization of events in the transmedia area of StoryCode Torino.
