Nove giorni al Cairo (Nine Days in Cairo): The Webseries/Docufilm on Regeni’s Murder

On the 3rd February 2016 a body with signs of torture has been found at the edge of a road near Cairo city. It was Giulio Regeni, researcher from Cambridge University, whom disappearance was reported a week before. Nove giorni al Cairo (Nine Days in Cairo) is a webseries, but also a documentary, written by Diana Ligorio and directed by Carlo Bonini and Giuliano Foschini, available on Repubblica online. #WEBFESTBERLIN 2017: Official Selection of Web Series and Program an- nounced for the festival on the 8th and 9th of September.

Berlin, 18th of August 2017: The best web series from around the world will be presented at the third edition of the Berliner festival for web series, happening on the 8th and 9th of September at Holzmarkt’s Säälchen. More than 200 web series from 21 countries were submitted to Webfest Berlin. 38 web series were chosen for the Official Selection. New for this year, 5 web series were selected in the new Berlin Selection and 8 in the new Returning Series Selection. A total of 51 se- ries and will be screened at the festival. Milzaman: The Street Food Superhero

Milzaman is a grotesque three episodes webseries set in Palermo, realized by the collective La Maladolescenza. The first episode was launched on December 2015:  it recounts the genesis of this bizarre superhero, alter ego of Tony Scalici, who prepares bread with spleen (local street food) for work. He undergoes a Marvel-style genetic mutation after being buried by a load of rubbish. His super-power consists in hitting the mafia enemies with slices of spleen generated from his wrists. Cobayes Squad: a webseries against the pollution

Doing good for one’s health without getting hurt. This is the teaching who wants to give to young Cobayes Squad: the webseries launched by the french non profit organization Génération Cobayes, that in an ironic and funny way desires to inform consumers on the relationship between pollution and human health.

The webseries has been created by Grégoire Vauthier and Léa Charles, volunteers of the movement, that have also launched a crowdfunding campaign on the participatory financing platform KissKissBankBank asking for public support for the realization of the project. Once again, the public is involved to participate actively by encouraging artistic creation on the web and at the same time acting concretely to the health and wellness of all.
